The diploma thesis "The Fundamental Beliefsof the Seventh-day Adventist Church: Theological Debate about their Nature, Role, and Arrangement in the Last 25 Years" has two main aims. First of all the paper tries to examine the debate of Seventh-day Adventist theologians about the church's doctrine since 1995 up to the present day. The paper's other effort is to place the examined debate into a historical and hermenutical context of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The introduction presents the aims of the paper, their justification, methodology, main research issues and content structure of the thesis. In the first part of the paper are shown the main landmarks of the Seventh-day Adventist doctrinal statements since 1848 up to the present day. Then the first part focuses on the elementary hermeneutical principles of Seventh-day Adventist in relation to the Scripture and the writings of Ellen G. White which is considered as a non-canonical prophet. The second part of the thesis deals in detail with question, how theologians from the Seventh-day Adventist Church understand the nature, role and arrangement of the Fundamental beliefs of their church. Thematic atlas of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

The main aim of the thesis is to create a thematic atlas of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to describe essential information about the Church through maps which are accompanied by texts, pictures and graphs. Partial goals are to obtain suitable spatial data related to the Seventh-day Adventist Church and to use thematic cartography methods which finally formed related maps. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the presentation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the summary of literature dealing with thematic cartography. These findings are put into practice in the practical part and the output of the thesis is the thematic Atlas of the Seventh-day Adventist Church created in ArcMap and InDesign softwares. The analysis of specific theological topics in Ellen G. White's writings "Conflict of the Ages"

In my bachelor's thesis "The analysis of specific theological topics in Ellen G. White's writings Conflict of the Ages" first introduce the history of formation Sevent-Day Adventist Church, including social and religious context in USA and religious movement under William Miller as a leader because of in this context E. G. White was her personality and faith under formation. In the second part of my thesis I describe life and life's work E. G. White focused on the most important milestones of her life which had an influence on her prophet's and writing's mission among millerist's movement and then Seventh-Day Adventist Church. I also present some of the most important critical voices of E. G. White life's work. In the third part I shortly introduce particular volumes Ellen G. White's writings Conflict of the Ages which cover the Great controversy story since satan's revolt in the heaven toward Jesus Christ's second coming. Here I present list of identificated theological themes in writings Conflict of the Ages. The last part of my bachelor's thesis is analysis identificated theological themes from the catholic theological perspective primarily trinitarian theology, christology and soteriology. This last chapter is culmination of my thesis.
Charity work in the history of Adventism in the Czech lands

The thesis deals with the history of charity work among Seventh day Adventists in the Czech lands. It presents basic information about the origins, progress and theological emphasis of Seventh day Adventists concerning the charity work. It shortly describes the history of Adventism in the Czech lands. The second part is focused on each form of social, charitable and humanitarian care that was provided by the Seventh day Adventists in the Czech Republic. In addition, it describes poverty reduction as well as work in the Tabita social groups. Information is also provided about the medical missionary ministry, work of the summer children health camps and the Association for health care. The last part of the thesis is aimed at basic information about the Czech office of the Adventist development and relief agency and pastoral care among the Adventists.

My work presents a simple summary of history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and their mission activities. The first chapter is dedicated to the partnerships, that historically preceded the establishment of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The second and third chapters describe the following development of adventism in the world and in Czechoslovakia, that can be seen in wider context of czechoslovak history. This work concerns in basic points the sphere of religion theory, organization and institution and gives a special attention to traditionally strong side of adventism - to mission.
